We traveled back to Safford, AZ for my grandson Caleb’s High School graduation, and then Patti flew to DIA and then drove with her daughter to Estes Park, CO for her nephew Brad’s High School graduation. Congratulations & Good Luck to both of these fine young men, future leaders of our country.
We decided to revisit Patagonia, AZ to get our water ‘fix’ before heading north. We got our water fix along with a campground full of people. There are 168 campsites where campers had erected at least 5 tents per campsite in 75% of the sites… WAY overcrowded!!! We could only stay for 3 nights and had to leave on Saturday morning because of the influx of campers wanting to get away from the heat of Arizona. When we left it was 70 degrees at 6:30am and by 9am it was a blistering 104 degrees. We traveled to St. David, just south of Benson, AZ to Holy Trinity Monastery where we have stayed for 3 nights also. The baking heat has not relented and it got as hot as 109 today. Those who tell you it doesn’t matter after 100 degrees, well… they are affected with heat stroke!!!
We are almost out of digital data on our plan, due to my not checking the size of a picture, so we are relying on gracious businesses, libraries, and this Monastery to post. Sooooo the blog posts will be a bit tardy – please be patient with us.
