On the 17th of January we headed down south to Las Cruces, New Mexico to check out a few possibilities for next winter, then we made a side trip to Alamogordo, NM to see some friends. The next day we headed to El Paso for Patti’s dental visit the following day. I don’t know how many of you have been to El Paso, but it is not a city for us to revisit any time soon! We got lost several time, even with the GPS. I do not think the city is well laid out, or their signage is clearly marked, just a personal opinion. I hate driving in big cities when I don’t know where I’m going, makes me very nervous! Luckily Rosalita was back in Safford.

On Tuesday the clinic van picked us up at our hotel, and we traveled across the border into Mexico for Patti’s dental procedure. Patti’s oral surgery went very well and today Saturday, she is recuperating quite nicely. Yes, it does make me nervous to cross the border into Juarez, Mexico – What if the border patrol doesn’t let me back into the USA…? Thankfully, without a hitch, we are back on native soil.

I do hope Patti is well enough to root for the Broncos on Sunday as they will need all the help they can get. GO BRONCOS: sorry Patriots you won’t see the Super Bowl this year!
Nice night shots…but I have also been lost in a big, new, strange city at night…and it was no fun to find out I was lost in a “not so good” part of that town.
