“We’ve worn out the view and we gotta be moving on!”

Leaving Riana Campground in Abiquiu was bittersweet. We lost the lake, the view… and the heat! Now we have no lake view instead we have a wonderful view of tall wooded forests; the blue lake is replaced with a sea of evergreen trees & tall grass, wildflowers replace cactus flowers; the heat is replaced with daily rain showers and the humid scent of Pine! We lost the view of the lake in the early morn, the red desert rocks sculpted by nature, and sunsets so brilliant that no Photoshop adjustments are needed.
We also love ‘moving on’ to new vistas & changing terrain; replacing skyscraper red rocks with towering evergreen trees. One view or terrain is not better than the next… It’s the change that drives the Gypsies on…
I was born in Missouri, grew up in California; BUT Colorado will always be my HOME, whether or not I live here!
